Wear it Pink

Greens are proud to support Wear it Pink in aid of Breast Cancer on Friday 18th October 2019.

This charity is very close to my own heart as my mum was diagnosed with breast cancer 3 years ago. I was with my mum when she was diagnosed and remember feeling absolutely numb, angry and devastated but had to remain strong for her. We were very blessed that this was Stage 1 which involved a small operation and radiotherapy. My mum has made a full recovery and continues to live life to the full at 76 years of age. Sadly a lot of woman do not recover from breast cancer and this is why it is so important to support causes such as this and raise awareness and stress the importance of regular check-ups.
