Travelling to Amsterdam

A couple of weeks ago, I added another city to my travel list. This time we went for Amsterdam! We travelled to Birmingham Airport to find a two mile queue for security which was expected, but never a good start. After 2 hours we finally made it through, and managed to get on the plane in time. A short hour later, we made it to Amsterdam and headed for the city. We embarked on all different adventures including the world famous Amsterdam Ice Bar, the Rikjsmuseum, the Anne Frank House and the Heineken Experience. What fascinated me the most was the huge amount of bicycles every which way we turned, along with canals down nearly every street. We ended our short weekend stop with a canal cruise around the city followed by a glass of wine on the A’dam lookout. I am looking forward to my next travel adventure which will hopefully not be too far away.
