We recently had a case which involved the treatment of disabilities in family proceedings and how unique circumstances of a case should always be taken into consideration.

The court were concerned with two children, one of which was severely disabled and had a short life expectancy, the local authority proposed a plan of adoption and we opposed this.

It was a long set of proceedings which concluded with the outcome we wanted! The judge ruled in our favour and the child was placed in long term foster care. 

This is the first case in Birmingham where a District Judge Judgment has been published!
