Rafia Altaf

Associate Solicitor, Birmingham

Greens are known to be a friendly and approachable firm who devotedly care for their Clients.

I am delighted to be a part of a team who work together as a family and support each other, we collate our skills to deliver an outstanding service to our Clients.

My passion for family law began when I studied this subject as an elective on the Legal Practice Course. The course inspired me to practice in this area of law. I perceived being able to help Client’s and ease their burden whilst they are most probably facing the toughest time of their life, a rewarding responsibility.

Working as a Family Lawyer has proven to be a fulfilling job, it enables me to make a positive difference in my Client’s life.

I cover a wide area of Family Law including Divorce Proceedings, Injunctive Proceedings, Private Children Law and some Care work.

I endeavour to establish a good working relationship with my client’s by being accessible and approachable, this ensures that we are able to work well together to achieve the best possible outcome for the Client.

It’s important for me to manage Client’s expectations and ensure I remain realistic with them throughout their case so they are educated about all the the possible outcomes of their matter. This prepares Client’s in advance and enables them to make an informed decision.

I am fluent in Urdu therefore Client’s who struggle with English and speak Urdu are attracted to my services. They find being able to communicate their concerns directly to me and being understood puts their mind at great ease.

I am naturally quite quiet which means I am a good listener but don’t let this mislead you as I am particularly skilled at speaking up for my Client’s!

Outside of work I enjoy travelling to new places, attending yoga classes and cooking.
