I have been a qualified solicitor for five years; however, I have undertaken work in the family and childcare sector for approximately 10 years. I have worked in private practice representing parents as well as working for a Local Authority. I have extensive experience in Children matters ranging from Child Arrangements applications to Public Children proceedings.

I also have had experience in matters concerning Domestic Abuse applications. I have been recognised previously for my work in the Legal 500.

I enjoy travelling and believe in the importance of self-care! I often like to take time for myself so I can always be at my best!

FAQs From Emma Haynes

What do you like working here?

At Greens there is a motivated friendly team. Everyone will go above and beyond to ensure you are supported and assist you in anyway they can.

Why do you work in your department?

I have always had an interest in children proceedings. You often find people at their most vulnerable and therefore providing that

supportive hand as well as getting the outcome your client desires is the most rewarding.

What are the most important things you look to deliver to your clients?

It is incredibly important to show your client that you are motivated and dedicated to their case. I actively ensure my client is reassured during the most vulnerable stages and ensure that any advice rendered is explained appropriately so that my clients can be fully informed to make the right decision for them.

Why should people come to you and Greens?

We have extensive experience across the firm to ensure that whatever the client requires, it can be delivered in the most
professional manner.

What are your tips for your clients when leading them through the legal process you deliver?

My top tips for my clients when going through the legal process is the following:

Take your time to consider any advice given to you. Simultaneous decisions without proper consideration can often lead to proceedings feeling more daunting.
Do not be afraid to ask your legal representative questions. We are here to advise and assist you so if you do not understand something that has been said – say!
Each case is different and therefore each case has different times to when they will conclude.

How do you differ in your delivery of your services?

I have been instructed to represent parents as well as Local Authority and therefore I believe I provide a better insight into
what is expected from the proceedings and therefore able to advise my clients accordingly.

Why do your clients enjoy working with you?

I actively like to reassure my clients. I understand the process can be very stressful and therefore believe it is important to
create a calm environment to make sure that my clients have the time to fully understand the advice given to them before asking them to confirm instructions.

I have found that my clients then feel less anxious during the legal process. I have often being praised by my clients for making them feel very supported.

What are your passions in delivering legal advice?

Always aiming to achieve the best possible outcome for my clients.

How would you describe yourself as a solicitor? I strive to be an empathic, motivated, approachable solicitor. I think it is important to remember the legal process can be very confusing so making sure your client feels comfortable with you is imperative to help
achieve your clients objectives.
