Team Building with a Twist: Our Christmas Wreath-Making Day

Yesterday, some of our team traded keyboards, team meetings and court, for ribbons, pinecones, and the scent of fresh evergreen. We gathered for a festive team-building day centred around one delightfully creative activity: making our own Christmas wreaths.

The workshop with tables piled high with winter greenery, berries, ornaments, and more varieties of ribbon than any of us knew existed. After a quick demonstration from our instructor, we dove in, some confidently, others with mild panic as wire and foliage seemed to have minds of their own.

What made the day special wasn’t just the crafting; it was the laughter, the shared tips (“More ribbon fixes everything!”), and the surprising creative talents that emerged.

By the end of the session, every wreath was wonderfully unique, much like our team. We left with moss and foliage smudged fingers, a few stray pine needles clinging to our sweaters, and a renewed sense of connection.

It turns out that a little creativity, a lot of teamwork, and a touch of Christmas magic is the perfect recipe for bringing people together.
