• It is National Walking Month, although we are halfway through the month there is still time to get moving.
  • National Walking Month came about to encourage more people to get moving and stay healthy.
  • National Walking Month is linked with an organisation called Living Streets, involving walk to work week and walk to school week.
  • Walking is an exercise almost everyone can take part in at any pace you require.
  • Research has proven that a small amount of physical activity can make a huge difference to a person’s health.

Tips to get moving this month:-

  • Park your car further from the office and get those extra steps in.
  • Take some time at lunch and take a walk through the town.
  • Come off the bus early than your planned stop.
  • Take a brisk walk before work or/and after work.
  • Take a weekend hike at your favourite scenic locations.
  • AS THE LIFTS IN THE OFFICE HAVE BEEN PROBLEMATIC, GREAT WAY TO GET YOUR STEPS IN AN HONOUR NATONAL WALKING MONTH BY WALKING UP AND DOWN THE STAIRS!!!!
