Euro 2024

Euro 2024 is officially known as the UEFA European Football Championship 2024 and this year will be the 17th time the tournament has been organised.

This year the hosts are Germany who last hosted the tournament in 1988 as West Germany before the country became a unified nation. 

The tournament is scheduled to take place from 14 June to 14 July.  There are 10 venues within Germany hosting the matches and 24 teams will be taking part.  53 UEFA member nations took part in the qualifying stages and Germany automatically qualified as the host nation.

At Greens we have set up a sweepstake where staff have the chance to draw a team and there will be a prize for the winning team at the end of the tournament.

I will be cheering for Germany    & Spain   as those are the two teams I have drawn!  Will you be celebrating the Euro’s this year?  

We have so much sport to enjoy this summer; we have the cricket T20 world cup just underway, the golf PGA US Open starting next weekend, the French Tennis Open, Wimbledon and the Olympics to follow!  If you are a sporting fan like me, you will be spoilt for choice!  So over the next month I will be a little anti-social whilst following the Euro’s, Cricket, Golf, Tennis and Olympics!  Enjoy!
