Christmas To Do List….Don’t forget the arrangements for the children!!
2020 has been a year like no other and it has been difficult for many people.
We are currently in Lockdown 2.0 and Christmas, however uncertain what it will look like, is the light at the end of the tunnel for a lot of people.
The time that children spend with their separated parents at Christmas is often a cause of tension. Most often, parents leave it until the last minute to try and make arrangements, only to realise that an agreement cannot be reached and there are issues in the run up to Christmas.
This year, more than any other, when families have been separated for long periods of time, that there are likely to be disagreements as to when children shall spend time with each parent.
We would advise that those conversations start as soon as possible, so if any discussions need to take place, they can.
Mediation is often the first step with trying to resolve issues and we are able to offer the support of both a mediator and a specialist family law.
