NATIONAL ICE CREAM MONTH 2026

Did you know that July is National Ice Cream Month? 

It was officially declared in 1984 by U.S. President Ronald Reagan, who also named the third Sunday in July as National Ice Cream Day. He recognised ice cream as a fun treat enjoyed by millions of people and encouraged everyone to celebrate.

It’s the perfect excuse to treat yourself to a scoop or two! of your favourite flavour.

FUN FACT- The world’s largest ice cream scoop weighed over 1,300 kilograms (around 3,000 pounds)! That’s enough ice cream to serve thousands of people.
